Euronet Radio first launched on the Astra satellite in Spring 1992 on the 7.56 Mhz audio subcarrier of Sky Sport.

During the Summer of 2002 one of the original founders of Euronet Radio arranged several test broadcasts via a shortwave transmitter located in Latvia.

Following completion of successful testing, Euronet launched regular weekend broadcasts with the call-sign of  "LaserRadio.net". The service operated via a 100,000 watt transmitter, located at Ulbroka in the Republic of Latvia.

In October 2003 we changed the name of our shortwave operation back to Euronet Radio, in order
to give the station a more clearly defined geographical identity as a Pan-European radio service.

To-day the team behind Euronet Radio operate several online radio stations, plus a successful FM station in Spain.
